Nancy Jane Lane Perham, OBE, Ph.D., Sc.D., FRMS, FRSB, FZS, Life Fellow and formerly College Lecturer and Tutor of Girton College, sometime Senior Research Associate in the Department of Zoology, onetime President of the former Institute of Biology, first Director of WiSETI, died on 23 November 2025, aged 89 years.

Sir Terence Alexander Hawthorne English, KBE, M.A., FRCP, FRCSE, (Hon.) FRSocMed, Honorary Fellow and formerly Master of St Catharine’s College, Honorary Fellow of Hughes Hall, Fellow and sometime President of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, onetime President of the British Medical Association, Clement Price Thomas Medallist of the Royal College of Surgeons and Lifetime Achievement Award-winner of the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery, died on 23 November 2025, aged 93 years.

Sir Tom Stoppard, OM, CBE, (Hon.) Litt.D., FRSL, (Hon.) FBA, Olivier, Shakespeare and David Cohen awards-winner, play and screen writer, died on 29 November 2025, aged 88 years.
