Gregory James Hannon, FRS, FMedSci, Fellow of Trinity College, Royal Society Research Professor of Molecular Cancer Biology (2014), Director of the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, recipient of the AACR Award for Outstanding Achievement in Cancer Research, died on 4 April 2026, aged 61 years.

Brian Arthur Westwood, M.A., Ph.D., Emeritus and former Teaching Fellow of Churchill College, member of Trinity College, formerly Deputy Director of the University Computing Service, now the University Information Services, sometime Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Physics, died on 9 April 2026, aged 86 years.

Dame Bridget Margaret Ogilvie, AC, DBE, Ph.D., Sc.D., FRS, FRCPath, FMedSci, Honorary Fellow of Girton College and of St Edmund’s College, formerly High Steward, sometime Director of the Wellcome Trust, former member of the Council for Science and Technology and Chair of the Committee on the Public Understanding of Science, Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science, Kilgerran Award-winner, Duncan Davies and Ralph Doherty Medallist, died on 27 April 2026, aged 88 years.
