Notices by the General Board

Department of Veterinary Medicine

With immediate effect

The General Board, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board of Veterinary Medicine, has approved changes to the regulations governing the use of titles in the Department of Veterinary Medicine. The amendments enable a Deputy Head of the Department to be designated as Dean of the Veterinary School during a period in which the Head of the Department is not a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. They also remove the titles of Associate Dean for Education, Associate Clinical Dean and Associate Dean for Research, as they are no longer used.

In the General Board Regulations for the Department of Veterinary Medicine (Statutes and Ordinances, 2024, p. 635), Regulation 2 has been amended to read as follows and Regulations 3–5 have been rescinded:

2. The Faculty Board of Veterinary Medicine shall designate as Dean of the Veterinary School the Head of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, or a Deputy Head of that Department, providing always that the person so designated is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
