Professor David Malcolm Potts, M.A., B.Chir., M.B., Ph.D., FRSM, FRCOG, FZS, former Fellow and College Lecturer in Medical Sciences of Sidney Sussex College, member of St Catharine’s College, formerly University Demonstrator in the Department of Anatomy, sometime Proctor (Junior), died on 25 April 2025, aged 90 years.

Christopher Reuben Calladine, M.A., Sc.D., FRS, FREng, Emeritus Fellow and sometime Dean, Senior Tutor, Steward, College Lecturer and Director of Studies in Engineering of Peterhouse, Emeritus Professor of Structural Mechanics, Winbolt Prizewinner and James Alfred Ewing Medallist, died on 3 August 2025, aged 90 years.

Dame (Vera) Stephanie Shirley, CH, DBE, (Hon.) Sc.D., FREng, Honorary Fellow of Murray Edwards College, Distinguished Fellow and former President of the British Computer Society, sometime Master of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, Mountbatten Medallist and Chartered Management Institute Gold Medallist, information technologist, businesswoman and philanthropist, died on 9 August 2025, aged 91 years.

Professor Anthony Terry Hanmer Smith, M.A., Ph.D., LL.D., Life Fellow and former Lecturer and Tutor of Gonville and Caius College, sometime Professor of Criminal and Public Laws and latterly Arthur Goodhart Visiting Professor in Legal Science, onetime Chair of the Faculty of Law, died on 19 August 2025, aged 78 years.

Dr David Barrie Fleet, former Fellow and sometime Preceptor for Access and Admissions and Director of Studies in Classics of Corpus Christi College, Affiliated Lecturer in the Faculty of Classics, died on 6 September 2025, aged 87 years.

Hallard Thomas Croft, M.A., Ph.D., Emeritus Fellow and sometime College Lecturer and Director of Studies in Mathematics of Peterhouse, member of St John’s College, former University Lecturer in the Faculty of Mathematics, died on 15 September 2025, aged 89 years.
