Policy on Ethics of Research Involving Human Participants and Personal Data

With effect from 3 February 2026

The General Board has approved a revised version of the above Policy, which has been renamed the Policy on the Ethical Conduct of Research Involving Human Participants or Personal Data. The Policy has been updated, following review and endorsement by the University Research Ethics Committee (UREC), to clarify the guiding principles, proportionate assessment of ethical risk, and the roles and responsibilities of researchers and research ethics committees.
