Professor Malcolm Andrew Ferguson-Smith, M.A., FRCP (Glasgow), FRS, FRSE, FMedSci, Emeritus and formerly Professorial Fellow of Peterhouse, Emeritus Professor and former Head of the Department of Pathology, sometime Research Professor in the Department of Clinical Veterinary Medicine and Director of the Cambridge Resource Centre for Comparative Genomics, Honorary Consultant in Medical Genetics, Addenbrookes NHS Trust, winner of the Makdougall Brisbane Prize and the Mauro Baschirotto Award, died on 4 February 2026, aged 94 years.
